BMC Remedy 7.6 is very slow

I'm forced to use BMC Remedy at work.  It was frustratingly slow in any browser I tried - IE, Chrome, and Firefox.  Getting it to let me click into different fields, or open drop-downs, everything was slow.  I believe it has to do with the version of Flash I had installed, which is a very recent version for security's sake. One day, I happened to try this in the incognito mode in Chrome (Ctrl + Shift + N in Chrome on Windows).  This made things considerably faster!  There must be an issue with the way the browser or Flash was caching Remedy's objects.  Definitely worth a try if you're running into the same issue.

RedemptionRunner.exe found running in my Taskmgr

I had a bit of a freak-out when seeing this show up in my Taskmgr one day, when Windows was churning.  If it turned out to be some kind of coupon printer or spyware, I would have been upset at myself for not knowing it was there. Turns out it is part of the Verizon Virtual Communications Express software.  It is an odd name for an executable, but who knows what they're thinking when they name these things. Directory of C:\Program Files (x86)\Verizon\Virtual Communications Express\RedemptionRunner32 03/31/2014 11:23 AM 347,648 RedemptionRunner.exe 1 File(s) 347,648 bytes Directory of C:\Program Files (x86)\Verizon\Virtual Communications Express\RedemptionRunner64 03/31/2014 11:23 AM 460,288 RedemptionRunner.exe 1 File(s) 460,288 bytes Update : In 2018, we had to upgrade to a newer version of Virtual Communications Express. The executable names have been renamed to something a bit more straightforward.
